Appreciating The Simple Things

I have not been feeling well the last few days. This morning was
worst. Normally, I do not have the habit of reading newspapers,
except for the cartoon and business sections. But today, as I
was not concentrating on the markets, I just flipped through the
papers.

I arrived early at Starbucks in Berjaya Times Square, located at
Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. I bought my favorite drink, a mug
of Starbuck’s Signature Hot Chocolate and chicken sandwiches.
Well, this is where I normally work on my blogs. As I switched
on my faithful Toshiba Satellite A100 laptop, my conversation
with Ramesh, the Creative Graphic Designer, on 19th July 2007
came to mind.

Happily, she related to me about the Chess Tournament organized,
there, by my Personal Coaching participant Gengkeswaran, fondly
known as Gengkes. She said the tournament was a success!

My good friend, Saravanan, fondly known to us as Sara,
celebrated his birthday today. He hails from a small town, Kuala
Pilah, in the state of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. My wife and I
have known him for almost ten years, now.

Last night, I had a meeting with Ganesan of Pusat Tuisyen Sri
Makmur (Sri Makmur Tuition Center). Mr. Ganesan and his wife
Rani, and I have been working on some ideas to further improve

I just returned from Subang Jaya Medical Center, after visiting
a close friend and also one of my Advance Program participants.
Yesterday afternoon, my wife helped her to get admitted in the
hospital after she called complaining pain in her backbone.

The recent weekend, 30th June and 1st July 2007 was an eventful
weekend for me and the Mutiara Power Packed Training Programs
team members. I conducted my annual two-day foundational
training program which will, later, be followed up by ten
workshops over a stretch of ten months. The venue of the program
was at Tropicana Golf and Country Resort in Damansara, about
20km from Kuala Lumpur city center.
